Moremi People, and the Bakkie

In 5 days exploring the Moremi wilderness, we came across only two other families camping. The feeling of being completely away from civilization was complete. But we did befriend some people who worked there, who in low season don't have much better to do than hang around with Canadians. One of them, Monti, ended up driving around with us, helping find some remote tracks we wouldn't have dared to enter otherwise. Here are a few pics of them, and a South African family we were 'lost together' with, and a truckload of high school students on a field trip - the open air equivalent of our yellow rockets!
And finally a couple of pics of our 'bakkie', which in Canada would be called a pickup truck with a tent camper on the back. As you can see it's got everything you need to drive, sleep, cook and live far into the wilds. Tonight we cross back into South Africa to return it tomorrow in Joburg, and we'll miss our home on wheels!
